MapleStory Classic received an update on October 15, unlocking 12 third-job advancements, adding three areas—Orbis, El Nath, and Kerning City—and raising the level cap to 120. This early-version-paced game now features new progression and party content.
The 12 newly unlocked third-job classes belong to five job groups. Once characters reach level 70, they can head to the Job Instructor's House in El Nath to undertake the relevant trials.
The new area, Orbis, adds a six-player party quest, "Goddess's Trail." Players must cooperate to solve floor puzzles, collect records, and challenge bosses; some field bosses have also returned with the new area.
The update also launches the original Halloween event, "Snowfield Mask Festival." Players can participate in the event storyline at the Snow Mountain Shelter, team up to defeat bosses that appear at scheduled times, and earn gift boxes and event rewards. The game introduces facial accessories as a new equipment slot for the first time, offering commemorative face accessories obtainable through story quests.
