The War Dogs servers will be temporarily shut down on October 15 as Bulkhead Interactive prepares to push the Season 2 update. Maintenance is scheduled to begin at 08:00 UTC and is expected to last 90 minutes, though actual downtime may be longer.
The four new weapons listed for Season 2 are the TCX-SPR assault rifle, PP-19 Bizon submachine gun, Evo-3 Ultra light machine gun, and M14 marksman rifle. The four vehicles include the Wolf-110, an armed version of the Wolf-110 equipped with an M2 Browning, the T-72B3 main battle tank, and the Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft gun.
Construction options will add machine gun emplacements, large cover structures, and wooden stairs. The new throwable Molotov cocktail deals hit damage and leaves behind persistent flames; fire can spread to destructible vegetation, while rainfall weakens flames.
Dynamic rainfall also changes the wetness state of the ground and characters. Rain sounds vary by location, and rain behavior under destroyed roofs will change; thunder can mask footsteps, and rainfall reduces detection range, all of which may affect judgment during engagements and when seeking cover.
Season 2 content also lists eight weapon and vehicle skins. The merchant system, which allows players to bet based on personal performance, is scheduled for release in a later phase of the season and will not be available immediately after this maintenance ends.
