Where Winds Meet version 2.3, "Qingzhou," launched on October 15, unlocking the first sub-region, Dongyue, and introducing the Confucian sect Wenjin Pavilion along with the new weapon "Wuling Drum." Qingzhou is the thematic region released after "Bujian Shan," drawing inspiration from ancient Qingzhou and Qilu culture; the other sub-region, Pengshan, is scheduled to open on October 29.
To join the Wenjin Pavilion, players must pass an entrance exam covering etiquette, literature, general knowledge, morality, and arithmetic. This version also adds a book system, allowing players to collect and study classics, and experience gameplay related to the Wenjin Pavilion, such as debates and proctoring exams.
The new weapon "Wuling Drum" and the "Silk Thread · Yi" style present supportive martial arts through dance, music, and long ribbons, featuring abilities to control enemies and buff allies. The update also introduces two new hero stories and three open-world bosses. The World Level has been increased to 18, while the solo level cap remains at 100, and the equipment level cap has been raised to 100.
Additionally, Where Winds Meet plans to launch an early access trial for NVIDIA DLSS 5 in late November. The developers stated they will collaborate with NVIDIA to improve textures, lighting, and performance; this technical feature is part of their future roadmap.
