CDPR has released hotfix 5.01b for The Witcher 3: Remastered, addressing blurry visuals on the Xbox Series S (XSS) version. The patch replaces TAAU with FSR as the upscaling solution for this platform, a move the developer says aims to improve image quality and performance.
After the remastered version launched on September 29, some Series S players reported noticeably blurry visuals. Previously, some suggested that uninstalling and reinstalling the game could resolve the issue, but this method is inconvenient for players with limited internet connectivity.
Due to the Xbox platform's update mechanism, the XSX can also download the 5.01b patch. However, CDPR confirmed that this update will not change the XSX version.
The Witcher 3: Remastered features adjustments to the combat system, skill trees, technical performance, and quality-of-life features. Following its release, PS5 players reported crashes during specific quests and other technical issues, prompting the developer to release a hotfix for that platform.
The Switch 2 version still suffers from frame drops, visual glitches, and image quality issues. The developer stated that a patch for this version is currently in preparation.
