Offworld Industries has announced that it will bring the PC tactical shooter Squad to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PS5 trial test is scheduled to take place from October 16th to 25th, and players can sign up to participate. The currently announced trial arrangements are only for PS5, and release dates for both console versions have not yet been revealed.
The console version will feature a selection of maps with performance optimizations. The developers have also prepared a radial menu for issuing commands and marking targets; cross-platform play between consoles can be enabled at the player's discretion.
Squad for PC was released in 2020. The game's large-scale team battles rely on player communication, and the console version is expected to feature 50v50 matches as well. Currently, no simultaneous trial arrangements have been announced for Xbox Series X|S.
