Epic Games released a Fortnite update on October 15, adding a new batch of Halloween loot, sprites, and rewards, and adjusting teammate reboot timers in Reload mode. The update also covers the OG mode map, weapon rotation, and interface fixes.
In Reload mode's duo and squad matches, opening containers, unlocking chests, and dealing damage to enemies can reduce the time teammates need to wait for a reboot. Meanwhile, the base reboot time for each match phase has been increased by 15 seconds.
In OG mode, Retail Row returns, with Block Monsters appearing in the area. Another region has transformed into a landscape featuring both desert and swamp characteristics, and includes a mechanic where crouching turns you into a random item.
This update also adjusts weapons and special items, implementing a weapon rotation. A new look for the Discover page will be rolled out gradually, and issues related to controls, visual effects, and stability have been fixed.
