Voice actress Masako Nozawa commented on AI-generated videos that sound like her voice, stating that she cannot accept her voice being used without notification or permission. She believes that even if a cloned voice sounds very similar, it cannot replace the performance delivered by an actor with genuine emotion.
I'm furious! Frieza!
In an interview with NHK, Masako Nozawa stated that the voices in such videos are not her own. She emphasized that both the voice and the performance belong to her; if anyone wishes to use either part, they should obtain permission first. She also hopes that users will abide by the rules.
Regarding AI-generated voice clones, Masako Nozawa acknowledged that they might sound very similar, or even nearly identical, to her own voice, but she believes they lack "heart." Citing the example of a character crying, she stated that when an actor performs with emotion, the resulting voice is different.
