The PlayStation Bug Bounty Program has published a report with a $50,000 reward, submitted by 2tonejordy. The issue in question was marked as resolved on October 15.
SIE opened the program to the public in June 2020, encouraging researchers to report security vulnerabilities so that relevant parties could address them. 2tonejordy has been active on HackerOne since October 2024.
After the bounty amount was disclosed, 2tonejordy joked on social media: "Now I can buy GTA VI." This remark was merely a playful comment on the size of the reward and has nothing to do with the game's release or pricing.
He previously mentioned that someone had asked him to delay disclosing a report related to the PS5 jailbreak community. It is currently unclear whether that report is the one that earned the bounty. The publicly released excerpts also do not provide technical details about the vulnerability, its scope of impact, or exploitation methods.
