Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege launched its Y11S3.2 mid-season balance update on October 15, buffing the Horus Lance and adjusting several operator gadgets and combat details. The corresponding version numbers for console players are 3.51 and 1.000.157.
The time for the Horus Lance to penetrate bulletproof shields, soft surfaces, and indestructible surfaces has been reduced from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds. The shield-breaking strength when hitting a shield has been increased from 30% to 100%, and the equip animation time has been reduced from 0.9 seconds to 0.4 seconds. The damage dealt to operators by this device has been increased from 50 to 80, with adjustments made to hit detection; the update also adds a firing mode that triggers incendiary grenades upon impact.
Regarding other gadgets, the number of charges for Soliton Radar MK III's Precision Mode has been reduced from 4 to 3, and the Glaive-12 secondary weapon has been added to its configuration. The deployment restrictions for the Talon-8 Shield have been relaxed, and its damage has been increased from 12 to 14.
This update also shortens the expansion interval, enhances the slowing effect when enemies retreat, and adjusts interactions between certain gadgets and barbed wire.
Fixes include issues such as the Horus Lance projectile hitbox being too large, the reticle transparency option not working, abnormal display of Osa's shield button status, the voice chat indicator occasionally disappearing, and new player reward pop-ups requiring a restart to appear.
