Set against a backdrop of Eastern cultivation fantasy, this title combines real-time combat with build crafting. Players choose one of eight cultivators to delve into the lost imperial palace ruins, seeking ways to break through sieges by demons and ancient beasts by combining techniques, magical artifacts, spirit seals, elixirs, talismans, and soul pacts.
The Chinese-style hand-drawn side-scrolling action roguelike "Baiyujing: No Immortals" has officially been revealed today, with its Steam store page now live. Players can already add the game to their wishlists.
Millennium-old ruins reappear, cultivators step forthEnter the Land of No Immortals
The story of "Baiyujing: No Immortals" takes place in the "Great Wilderness," where spiritual energy has dried up. A thousand years ago, the Old Ancestor of Yinshan erected the Yingyuan Great Array, attempting to drain all spiritual energy from the Great Wilderness. The array ultimately collapsed, sealing the Xuan Dynasty's imperial palace and countless demons into another realm. Now, the lost palace has reappeared, swallowing more than half of the Liyun Sect, turning former immortal traces into dangerous lands overrun by evil gu worms and ferocious beasts.
Eight cultivators debut, with diverse combat styles spawning different builds
The game features eight cultivators, each with unique backgrounds and combat styles. Every character possesses over twenty passive skills, providing room for diverse builds. Even the same cultivator can develop different combat styles depending on the resources and ability combinations available in each run. Players must observe enemy actions amidst ever-changing battles, mastering the timing of dodges, movements, and attacks to find synergy between character controls and build choices.
Elixirs, Talismans, and Soul Pacts add more variety to combat
In addition to magical artifacts and spirit seals, the game offers over forty types of elixirs and talismans. Elixirs help players accumulate buffs during prolonged combat, while talismans can be used for crowd control, defeating enemies, or handling critical situations. Both can compensate for weaknesses in your current build or combine with other abilities to create new playstyle directions.
The Soul Pact system allows players to seal the souls of defeated enemies and learn their unique skills. Each Soul Pact also grants random modifiers that enhance skill power or alter their effects, enabling the same enemy skill to function differently depending on the combination.
"Baiyujing: No Immortals" is still under continuous development and optimization. More characters, scenes, gameplay content, and future test schedules will be announced gradually. Interested players can now visit the Steam store page to add the game to their wishlists and stay tuned for updates!
