"Haikyuu!!" is collaborating once again with Japan's Spring High School Volleyball Tournament. Author Haruichi Furudate has created a new illustration of Shoyo Hinata for the occasion, which has been released on the manga's official X account. This marks the first collaboration between the two since 2020 and the series' return to the event after seven years.
"Haikyuu!!" began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2012 and concluded in 2020, but the anime has not yet covered all of the original manga content. The fourth season of the TV anime aired in two parts in 2020, followed by the theatrical release of "Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle" in 2024.
The next film, "Haikyuu!! VS the Little Giant," has been officially confirmed. Currently, it is only scheduled for a 2027 release, with no specific premiere date, final trailer, or streaming details announced yet.
Shueisha will hold Jump Festa from December 19 to 20, 2026, with "Haikyuu!!" confirmed to appear on the Super Stage. While there are expectations that the film's release window or trailer might be revealed during the event, nothing has been officially scheduled yet.
The original manga continues beyond the high school arc, depicting Hinata's professional volleyball career years after graduation, meaning there is still source material available for adaptation after the film. However, as of now, the officials have not confirmed a fifth season of the TV anime or another film.
