Zeltik, a YouTube creator who consistently produces Zelda-related content, confirmed that this remake of Ocarina of Time will include brand-new side quests. In Hyrule Castle Town, when players first meet the potion shop owner, he is in a panic over a hidden bug and hands Link an empty bottle, asking for help catching it. After completing the request, the bottle becomes the player's property, and the owner will even fill it with a red potion for healing.
Of course, this doesn't qualify as the multi-stage complex side quests found in modern action-adventure games, and there doesn't seem to be any quest log or similar feature to track side quest progress. But this at least shows that Nintendo indeed plans to add some new content, providing even veteran players who have beaten Ocarina of Time over a dozen times with a fresh experience.
The shooting mini-game in the game has also launched a more challenging new version, with players' shooting time significantly reduced, indicating that various mini-games will add new difficulty levels. Zeltik's video also detailed some subtle yet significant adjustments to the layout of the Forest Temple, meaning that when we revisit old dungeons, it won't be the familiar routine we can complete with our eyes closed anymore.
