Street Fighter Star Cody Rhodes Repeatedly Hints at Marvel X-Men Project

Cody Rhodes, who starred in Street Fighter, seems to have (perhaps unintentionally) dropped another hint suggesting he will be involved in a Marvel X-Men project.

When asked about his "obsessive hobbies" in an interview with Nerdist, Rhodes replied, "I'm super into... I'm an X-Men guy, I'm super into that..." Of course, this might have been a simple slip of the tongue, and Rhodes may have simply meant to say, "I really like X-Men." However, prior to this, Rhodes had either deliberately brought up X-Men or intentionally avoided the topic on several occasions... Naturally, this sparked another round of rumors.

街霸主演科迪·罗兹频频暗示参演漫威X战警项目

Back in August this year, Rhodes visited Marvel Studios and later used the theme song from X-Men '97 in his Instagram Stories. On the latest episode of Andrew Schulz's podcast—where Schulz and Rhodes both appeared to promote the recently released live-action Street Fighter movie—Schulz asked him which team Rogue belonged to, and Rhodes immediately changed the subject.

Of course, all of this might not mean anything at all, but that hasn't stopped various media outlets from reposting and reporting on it, nor has it dampened fans' wild speculations. In my opinion, he is more likely to voice a character in Season 3 of X-Men '97 rather than appear directly in the upcoming live-action film—although fans have long favored him for the role of Colossus. We'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Season 3 of X-Men '97 is expected to premiere in 2027. The Marvel live-action X-Men movie is scheduled for theatrical release on May 5, 2028.
