The Baseus Spacemate RD1 Plus is a brand-new 14-in-1 docking station featuring a built-in display and an integrated GaN power supply. It supports dual 4K display output and 120W fast charging. The launch price is $259.99.
Baseus has released another docking station in the Spacemate RD1 series, this time the Plus model. It is a 14-in-1 docking station, with its main highlight being the built-in GaN power supply.
This means it doesn't require any external adapter, which is an advantage, although it is slightly larger than the standard RD1 version that needs an external charger. Of course, the former is an 11-in-1 docking station, while the RD1 Plus offers 14 ports.
It includes two HDMI ports, both supporting 4K display output. However, one supports 4K resolution at 120Hz refresh rate, while the other supports up to 4K@60Hz. The front panel features two USB-C ports supporting 45W fast charging, while the Type-C port connecting to the host can provide up to 100W of charging power.
The company emphasizes that the built-in gallium nitride power supply has a rated input power of 140W, but a total output power of 120W. It also has a built-in cooling fan to keep the docking station cool under high load, while PowerTune 3.0 technology dynamically allocates power based on connected devices.
In addition, it comes equipped with a rich array of USB ports for connecting various peripherals, with all ports offering transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps. It also features a Gigabit Ethernet port, an SD card slot, and a TF card reader.
Another notable highlight is the screen built into the front panel. It can display the docking station's power output, host connection status, and data transfer information. The Baseus Spacemate RD1 Plus docking station is priced at $259.99 and is currently available on Amazon.
