Final Fantasy: Resonance will launch on Switch 2 and Switch on October 22, 2026. The eShop page now lists prices, download sizes, and physical media formats for both versions: the Standard Edition is priced at €59.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition is €69.99.
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Magitek & Grimoire Premium Pack, offering Magitek Unit Keys, the High Priestess's Grimoire, the Ring of Domination, as well as five Vial of Mist and five Aether of Mist. Players must progress to a specific stage to claim these items from the mailbox in front of the inn in Mitra; the Chocobo appearance can be toggled using the key in the inventory from the main menu.
The storage requirements differ between the two platform versions: the Switch 2 version requires 11.7 GB, while the Switch version needs 8.8 GB. Both will receive physical releases, but the Switch 2 version uses a Game Key Card, whereas the Switch version comes on a standard cartridge.
This is the first new Final Fantasy title developed in the HD-2D style, featuring modernized classic visuals. Its narrative draws inspiration from earlier entries in the series and utilizes strategic turn-based combat. A demo for the game was previously released on the eShop.
