Amazon Physical Pre-order Data: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Outperforms GTA 6

"The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remastered" has secured approximately 60,000 physical pre-orders on Amazon US in the past month, nearly six times the roughly 11,000 pre-orders for "GTA6" during the same period. The surge may have been driven by gameplay previews released this week.

During the same period, "GTA6" saw approximately 9,000 pre-orders for the PS5 version and about 2,000 for the Xbox version. "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remastered" is exclusive to Switch 2, which has an installed base slightly below 23 million; in contrast, there are at least 130 million consoles capable of running "GTA6."

The same comparison also includes data for "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4," with its three console versions totaling around 3,300 pre-orders on Amazon US, equivalent to 5.5% of the estimated volume for "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remastered."

These figures cover only a single retail channel, Amazon, and count physical copies exclusively, excluding digital stores on various platforms. If digital pre-orders were included, the gap between the two major titles might narrow significantly, or even shift in favor of "GTA6." Therefore, these data points only reflect the purchasing tendencies of Amazon's physical copy consumers and should not be regarded as the overall pre-order rankings or final market performance for the three games.
