Nintendo has acknowledged underestimating demand for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake and is working to replenish stock of both the game software and special edition hardware as quickly as possible. Demand following the opening of pre-orders significantly exceeded the company's prior expectations.
Bill van Zyll, Nintendo of America's Vice President and General Manager, described the remake as a "global phenomenon" and asked players waiting for restocks to be patient. Demand has been strong in markets like the United States, while countries such as Brazil are experiencing tight inventory or sell-outs.
In addition to game software, Nintendo plans to restock Switch 2 commemorative edition products. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will launch next month, and restocking efforts are currently underway.
