Pokémon and Santa Cruz Skateboards have launched Pokémon Trading Card Game-themed blind box skateboards to celebrate Pokémon's 30th anniversary. The series sold out rapidly on both official websites after its October 17 release, and within approximately 24 hours, resale prices reached as high as $1,000.
This collaboration features 30 standard designs and 3 gold rare variants, with patterns covering characters such as Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, and Umbreon. The three gold variants are each composed of multiple card patterns, with a global limited edition of 500 units each.
Each skateboard has an original price of $139.95, measures 8 inches in width and 31.6 inches in length, and includes only the deck without wheels or other hardware. The product comes in sealed blind box packaging, so buyers cannot determine the specific design before opening.
On resale platforms, an unopened skateboard is listed at $298.68, plus $55.05 for shipping to Australia; a harder-to-obtain Rayquaza-patterned skateboard reportedly sold for $1,000. Pokémon International stated that some local stores also received stock. The two parties previously launched a similar blind box skateboard collaboration in 2023.
