Recommended Console Settings for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Covering Controls, Visuals, and Audio

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III beta console settings guide offers several adjustment recommendations for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players, covering aiming, movement, visual clarity, and key audio cues. These values are not one-size-fits-all; players should test each setting individually based on their hardware and playstyle.

Standard controller players can try the Tactical button layout, mapping crouch, slide, and dive to the stick buttons. When using a controller with back paddles, the default layout can be retained. Start by testing horizontal and vertical stick sensitivity between 1.50 and 1.85. PS5 players can also disable trigger effects and controller vibration to minimize their impact on precise control.

Deadzone settings should not rely on fixed values. Players can run the in-game stick calibration test first, then set the minimum deadzone for both left and right sticks to one value higher than the detected result. The L2 and R2 deadzones can be reduced to 5 to shorten the trigger travel distance required for activation.

For movement options, you can enable wall-strafing and maintain sprint. Assistive actions like mantling, wall-jumping, and sliding should be adjusted based on personal preference. If your display supports it, enable 120Hz, while turning off World Motion Blur, Weapon Motion Blur, and Depth of Field. Test FidelityFX CAS strength between 50 and 80, and choose a Field of View (FOV) between 90 and 120.

For audio settings, keep Effects volume at 100 to better distinguish footsteps. Dialogue volume is recommended to stay between 80 and 100 to avoid missing announcements such as enemy killstreak rewards. Final settings should be adjusted based on controller drift, display equipment, motion sickness sensitivity, and personal auditory preferences.
