WEBTOON has announced three original webcomics featuring Marvel characters and revealed the first promotional images for each project. Release dates for all three series have not yet been announced.
"Tony's Girl," written by CRC Payne and illustrated by StarBite, follows Tony Stark, who graduated from MIT at 17. Instead of immediately joining Stark Industries, he attends etiquette classes to repair his public image, where he meets Meredith McCall, the daughter of his father's rival, Clayton McCall. The series will revisit their teenage romance.
"The Time Deadpool Fell Into WEBTOON and Found the Longest Title in History," written by Ucheomaaa and illustrated by Annie Huang, parodies the lengthy titles common in isekai works and light novels. Deadpool will traverse the multiverse of WEBTOON, battling through various genres such as historical action stories and romantic dramas while searching for a way home.
"X-Men: Korea," produced by Studio LICO, centers on high school student Go Young-ri. He suddenly discovers he is a mutant and enrolls at Hoseok Gifted Academy, becoming entangled in a major conspiracy concerning the future of humanity. None of these three series are simple vertical-scroll adaptations of existing comics; instead, they unfold their own stories with familiar characters, new figures, and original plots.
