Board Game "The Witcher: Legacy" Confirmed for Summer 2027 Release, Supports Four-Player Co-op

Go On Board and CDPR have confirmed a Summer 2027 release window for The Witcher: Legacy, a narrative-driven board game developed in collaboration. First announced in 2025, the project is a standalone tabletop game set within The Witcher universe, not a new video game.

Players take on the role of a surviving Witcher from the School of the Wolf in the aftermath of a brutal attack, traveling across Kaedwen to uncover those responsible. Throughout the adventure, players must explore various regions, battle monsters, improve their skills, and make tough choices with limited resources.

The game features a branching narrative campaign where decisions made in earlier sessions carry over and influence subsequent progress. Its structure emphasizes cumulative choices and consequences across sessions rather than resetting completely after each playthrough. The game can be experienced solo or cooperatively with up to four players.

Set before Geralt's era, the protagonist is not Geralt but rather the School of the Wolf and its surviving members. The campaign revolves around a conspiracy threatening the very existence of Witchers, with developers now pinpointing the release window to Summer 2027.
