TurboNerds Games has released a demo for its new PC title KILLSEC on Steam, with the full version scheduled for release in February 2027. This top-down action roguelike centers on physics-based melee combat, challenging players to fight off enemies swarming from all directions and escape the secret facilities of a mega-corporation.
The game doesn't just require players to dodge attacks. Sword strikes, bullets, and lasers can all be deflected, turning incoming threats into opportunities for counterattacks. Movement speed also affects the flow of time around you: the more and faster your character moves, the quicker time progresses. Thus, movement, pauses, and reaction timing are all crucial to survival.
As players tackle increasingly difficult stages, the overall game speed will increase in phases, further testing their split-second decision-making. Items collected during levels can enhance character abilities, and picking up multiple items with similar effects stacks these buffs, further boosting the character's physical performance.
The development team stated that they will continue to add content and polish the game before the official launch.
