Publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developer Octofox Games have announced that their cooperative action roguelike, Wild Woods, has received a major update featuring two of the community's most requested features: a permanent progression system and key rebinding. Players can now continuously develop their cat characters between adventures, unlocking permanent stat boosts and additional customization options.
Wild Woods is currently available on Steam with a 67% discount (33% of original price), priced at just 16.17 CNY. The Supporter Pack is also on sale with a 40% discount. The promotion runs until October 27.
The core of this update is the new Jungle Survival progression system. As players delve deeper into the forest, they will earn experience and gradually unlock new abilities, challenges, and rewards. Resources gathered during adventures can be used to enhance permanent stats and unlock powerful bonuses called Ancestral Marks, offering more possibilities for character builds and varied playstyles.
It's not just stronger cats you can unlock! New cat and wagon skins, emotes, and dynamic 3D preview features allow players to add more personality to their adventures. Additionally, another highly anticipated improvement—keyboard, mouse, and controller key rebinding—is now live, letting players customize controls to their preferences.
Furthermore, this update includes gameplay balance adjustments and further optimizations for nighttime wagon defense.
