Dizzy series creators Philip Oliver and Andrew Oliver have announced the Dizzy Collection. The collection is scheduled for release in 2027 to mark the series' 40th anniversary, and will be available on physical cartridges for the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive).
The collection will include three games: the 2D platformer "Dizzy the Adventurer," "Go! Dizzy!" which features maze gameplay similar to Pac-Man, and the retro puzzle game "Panic! Dizzy." "Dizzy the Adventurer" was previously released under the title "Prince of the Yolkfolk."
The first two games have been released before, while "Panic! Dizzy" is an NES game developed in 1992 that was never officially released. The Oliver brothers will launch a Kickstarter campaign for the physical cartridge project; specific release dates and pricing have not yet been announced.
Based on the revealed trailer, the visuals for "Dizzy the Adventurer" and "Go! Dizzy!" appear enhanced, with greater detail and clarity than the original versions, though it remains unclear whether the gameplay has been adjusted. The developers previously confirmed using generative AI in another new title, "Ultimate Dizzy," but have not yet specified whether related tools were used for the visual enhancements in this collection.
