With over 70 million views across social media platforms, the game invites players into a labyrinthine luxury mansion where they can choose their side: become mysterious monster-like "Tricksters" defending their territory, or join an impromptu team of "Robbers" attempting a daring gem heist.
The game is priced at 42 RMB, with a limited-time 20% launch discount bringing it down to 33.6 RMB. Chinese language support is included.

Built by friends, designed for friendly betrayal
Drawing inspiration from popular multiplayer horror games like Lethal Company and Dead by Daylight, Haunted Heist lets scares and laughter collide in the same heist.
Enter the procedurally generated mansion of the Tricksters and choose to play as either a Robber or a Trickster. Robbers are equipped with flashlights to illuminate their path and pistols for self-defense; Tricksters possess night vision and a full suite of mischief tools. As a Robber, you must listen carefully for the faint sounds of barefoot running, wary of deadly threats lurking on walls or in the shadows.
The victory conditions for both sides are clear: Robbers must collect all gems scattered across the map and return them to their base before the 10-minute countdown ends; Tricksters must eliminate the Robbers or prevent them from completing their mission.
The game supports 3–8 players. Gather your friends, prepare for battles of wits and escapes, and win the brawl before time runs out!
"It's right behind me, isn't it?"
The game features proximity voice chat, limiting communication between teammates based on distance. Remember to use walkie-talkies to warn other Robbers when danger is nearby; if ambushed, rely on quick reflexes to draw your pistol and fight back.
If a teammate falls, you can revive them with a defibrillator, or choose to leave them behind, switching them to third-person spectator mode to watch the chaos unfold.
In addition to teamwork, Robbers can use various tools and upgrades to replenish depleted resources, enhance equipment performance, or help navigate dark corridors. However, these conveniences rapidly drain battery power, so conserve energy wisely. Strategically combining upgrades and finding nearby batteries is key to survival—after all, the Tricksters lurking in the dark have their own specialties.
Stick together and beware the monsters' tricks
Robbers beware: The Tricksters have far more tricks up their sleeves than you might imagine.
Invisibility, silencing, ambushes... all abilities have cooldowns, requiring precise timing during tense moments to maximize their effectiveness. Tricksters can harass, mislead, and intimidate opponents, turning every room and corridor into a potential trap.
The voice-swapping ability blurs the line between friend and foe; combined with previous voice recordings and 1:1 disguises, it can even turn trust among teammates into a deadly weapon. Skilled Tricksters blend psychological warfare with lethal ambushes, becoming unpredictable sources of chaos.
Once separated from your Robber team, you're likely to meet your end quickly.

autotroph games is an independent game studio based in Seattle, Washington, founded by developer Jakob Herlitz and designer Dominic Giardini. Both hail from the Northeastern United States, became friends in middle school, started making YouTube videos together, and eventually moved across the country to the West Coast.
Their motivation for developing Haunted Heist was simple: to have a fun game to play every Wednesday night with Jakob's three brothers.
