The four-player co-op deep-sea action game "Brotherhood of the Deep" has launched its demo on Steam Next Fest, running until October 27. Players take on the role of canine divers, battling and salvaging supplies in increasingly polluted deep waters, while gradually restoring a beachside base from ruins.
Developed by Crossbridge Game Studios and published by Polden Publishing, "Brotherhood of the Deep" is a 2D co-op action game for PC, supporting up to four players. During dives, players must use firearms to repel marine creatures while recovering scrap and treasures from the seabed.
Bulky loot cannot be carried directly; players must first attach hooks to it, then drag or hoist it using cables. Team members can take on different roles such as carrying treasures, fending off enemies, piloting the submarine, and surveying the environment, with role assignments directly impacting the salvage process.
Loot brought back to base can be used to advance reconstruction. As repair progress increases, new characters will arrive at the base, and features such as weapon and outfit customization, as well as submarine upgrades, will gradually unlock. The current demo primarily showcases core gameplay loops including underwater exploration, combat, cooperative salvage, and base revitalization. The official release date and full content scope have not yet been announced.
