Underground Security Inc., a game blending light Rogue-like elements with dungeon-building gameplay developed by indie studio KRNK Studios, will participate in the Steam October Next Fest (October 20, 2026 – October 27, 2026). Players can download the official Chinese demo from the Steam store page.
In Underground Security Inc., players take on the role of a dungeon manager, recruiting minions, mining ore, and building traps. At night, players need to plan their defenses and expand the dungeon to prepare for the next wave of hero attacks; during the day, they must withstand waves of "heroes" coming to plunder the dungeon.
Players manage a team of minions, assigning them to various parts of the dungeon to complete different tasks: mining ore, expanding dungeon rooms, constructing and upgrading buildings, and deploying minions to defend against the next wave of adventurers. Each minion can only perform specific types of tasks, and some minions have abilities triggered in different ways. Since only a few minions are available each day, players must make trade-offs and decide which aspects of the dungeon to prioritize.
As the game progresses, players will have the opportunity to choose and recruit more powerful new minions, and enhance them through various upgrades to create powerful synergistic combinations. The game randomly offers building blueprints, spells, and ancient tomes for players to choose from: building blueprints can be used to place new structures; spells can be cast at night to help defend against invaders; and ancient tomes provide unique persistent effects that permanently strengthen the dungeon in various ways.

During the event, there is also a "Next Fest Limited-Time Challenge," where successful challengers can earn the right to name an "Adventurer."
