October 20 news:GALAX has officially teased the GeForce RTX 5090 HOF (Hall of Fame) Edition graphics card, which will launch on October 22. The biggest highlight is the Swarovski crystals embedded in the card's shroud.
GALAX's HOF series has always followed a white aesthetic. This card continues the white color scheme, but the difference this time lies in the Swarovski crystals embedded in the cooling shroud.
In an all-white themed case, a standard graphics card is just a white plastic slab. Once embedded with crystals, the RGB light strips in the case will refract light in all directions through the crystals, completely transforming the card's appearance.
In terms of power delivery, this card is expected to use dual 12V-2×6 connectors. GALAX's previous flagship, the RTX 5090D HOF Edition, already used dual 12V-2×6 connectors, so this isn't the first time. However, this is the first time an overclocking-focused graphics card has been paired with a luxurious crystal-embellished shroud.
This card first made its debut at Computex 2026, where many assumed it was a teaser for the GeForce RTX 6090. It has now been confirmed to be the 5090 HOF.
The RTX 5090 itself has long been astronomically priced. NVIDIA previously denied rumors of discontinuation and confirmed that shipments would continue, but industry-wide shortages have driven prices far above the $1,999MSRP, with some models retailing for as much as a used car, and prices of $8,000 are not uncommon.
In this market environment, the 5090 HOF graphics card is more of a collector's item than a productivity tool. This collaboration with Swarovski will almost certainly drive the price even higher, so we'll have to wait and see for the final pricing.
