Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III DMZ Early Access, Progress Carries Over to Multiplayer

While the multiplayer mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III won't officially launch until October 23, digital pre-order customers can use the newly released DMZ mode to accumulate progress ahead of time.

The revamped DMZ enters Early Access on October 20. Player XP, Weapon XP, and Rank XP earned by participants will contribute to your overall account level and continue to carry over once multiplayer launches. In other words, players who get a head start in DMZ can unlock new content for multiplayer sooner, as well as progress through the game's redesigned Prestige system.

The new version of DMZ takes place after the Campaign. The mode originally debuted in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II in 2022, but its impact was less significant than traditional multiplayer modes and Call of Duty: Warzone; Infinity Ward has now completely overhauled it. Changes listed in the article include improved enemy AI, a revamped FOB progression system, and various ways to engage, such as exclusive story missions, dynamic side content, and free exploration.

DMZ itself can be leveled up to a maximum of 77, with rewards or feature unlocks at each level. Players can prepare their loadouts at FOB stations, while basic features like the Firing Range and Contract Board are available from the start; the 3D Printer unlocks at DMZ Level 2, the Gunsmith at Level 10, and the Dog.exe Tag Display Case becomes available at Level 20, allowing you to showcase Dog.exe tags collected from enemy players and operators.

This early progression method is exclusively available to players who qualify for digital pre-orders and DMZ Early Access. Its core value lies in advancing account and weapon-related progress before the official server launch.
