Techland currently has no plans to produce major new content for Dying Light: The Beast. Founder and CEO Paweł Marchewka stated that the game was positioned as a complete standalone title from the start, and the company made no commitments to long-term live service support.
Dying Light: The Beast has received additional content post-launch, including the free "Restored Land" mode, New Game+, and Legend Levels. Marchewka believes players can view this title as a complete game, much like they do with the original Dying Light today.
In contrast, support for Dying Light 2 will continue, with a subsequent focus on user-generated content, maps, mods, and new game modes. Marchewka admitted that the studio's previous five-year support model did not meet expectations: having a smaller team maintain older titles for extended periods could interfere with new project development, while limited resources struggled to consistently meet player expectations for update frequency, scale, and quality.
Techland has begun development on its next project, but its setting, tone, and direction are still taking shape, requiring more time before anything can be announced. Other reports indicate that Dying Light: The Beast surpassed 1.5 million copies sold by late October 2025.
