The Steam Very Positive psychological horror game MOUTHWASHING will launch on current-gen consoles—PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch—on October 29. This marks the title's first arrival on console platforms since its PC release in 2024.
The story follows the crew trapped aboard the space freighter Tulpar. Its horror atmosphere relies less on jump scares and more on unsettling dialogue, imagery, and a gradually distorting sense of reality, depicting the impact of isolation on the crew.
The game is relatively short, focusing on human nature under adversity, individual actions, and their consequences, with part of its narrative hidden in details and subtle clues. It holds an 88 on Metacritic and has earned an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating from Steam users.
Physical editions for PS5 and Nintendo Switch are also planned and will be available through Fangamer. Specific release dates and pricing for the physical versions have not yet been announced.
