The film "Ma Yang Nian Hua" held a VIP screening on October 20 and will be released on October 23. Bobby Au-Yeung attended at the invitation of lead actress Kathy Chau to show his support, but repeatedly misstated the titles of her early works during the event.
Bobby Au-Yeung stated that he and Kathy Chau were former colleagues at TVB and now both belong to Emperor Motion Pictures, so he made a special trip to show his support. When discussing the works that brought earlier attention to Kathy Chau, he mentioned titles such as "Yao Wu Huang Sha," "Changsha," and "Huo Wu Changsha." After being corrected on site, it was clarified that the relevant work should be "War and Beauty" (Huo Wu Huang Sha); he may have also confused it with "The Dance of Passion" (Yao Wu Chang'an), in which he starred but Kathy Chau did not appear.
Bobby Au-Yeung then brought up their past collaboration in "Goodbye Mr. Black," recalling that Kathy Chau's character had a crush on his. He joked that if they were to collaborate again, he hoped they could revisit a romantic storyline.
Discussing Kathy Chau's acting skills, Bobby Au-Yeung mentioned that he had watched her explosive scene scolding Johnny and Fat Boy in "Rainbow Under the Sunset" and applauded enthusiastically at home. He believes that Kathy Chau has always possessed acting talent, but simply needed a role that allowed her to fully showcase it.
Bobby Au-Yeung also discussed reuniting with Louis Koo in the series "Shou Huang." Their previous collaboration dates back to 1997's "Delicious Masterpiece," and he described this reunion as akin to meeting an old friend after many years.
