On Day 3 of the League of Legends 2026 World Championship Play-In Stage, LCP representative MVK defeated the Brazilian team FUR 3-1, advancing to the Swiss Stage qualification matches. The two teams had previously met on Day 1 of the Play-In Stage, where MVK won 3-0; with this second defeat, FUR's journey in this tournament has come to an end.
In the first game, MVK jungler Gury initiated an attack in the mid lane to secure the first kill, while top laner Kratos followed up with a solo kill. MVK gradually controlled objectives like the Dragon and Rift Herald, and won the first game through teamfight dominance. In the second game, MVK again picked Kog'Maw in the mid lane to suppress the enemy Viktor, gaining the initiative through tower dives and pushes in the top lane. Although FUR briefly secured a shutdown bounty during MVK's push, MVK still destroyed the Nexus after securing Baron Nashor, taking an early match point.
FUR relied on an early advantage in the bottom lane and Miss Fortune's farm in the third game to build an economic lead, bringing the score to 1-2. The fourth game's action centered on the bottom lane, where MVK bot laner Harky, playing Corki, achieved a 4/0/0 start by the six-minute mark. FUR subsequently invested resources in the top lane and briefly killed Corki, but MVK held off the counterattack, secured Baron Nashor, and ended the series with a 3-1 overall victory.
According to the published schedule, MVK will face the European team KC at 2:00 AM the following day. The two sides will compete for the sole remaining spot from the Play-In Stage to the Swiss Stage, a match that will determine whether MVK can continue the LCP region's journey in this year's World Championship.
