The Steam version of "Akihabara Lost Connection," a live-action ensemble suspense game developed by IzanagiGames, has ended its delay and officially launched on October 21. The developers apologized to players who waited for the game due to the delay. The base game is available at a 20% discount for the first 14 days after launch, reducing the price from 89 yuan to 71.2 yuan.
The Steam version includes several new features. Starting from the morning of the first in-game day, players can unlock still images of their partner characters by completing different time periods in the New Town arc. If save files from the demo have completed the corresponding time periods, the related still images will be automatically added to the full version's gallery. The game's options menu also provides downloads for pixel-art character PC and mobile phone wallpapers.
This update also optimizes text display and controls, and fixes minor issues. The original soundtrack and story video DLC are now available, including a costume set. The Digital Deluxe Edition bundle, which includes the base game and all DLC, is also on sale. The total pre-discount price of its contents is 133 yuan, and the bundle offers an additional 5% discount.
"Akihabara Lost Connection" is set in Akihabara and features a voice novel gameplay style with switchable character perspectives, combined with live-action footage and 360-degree camera angles. The project underwent six years of conceptualization, involved over 200 staff members and actors, and required approximately 200,000 photos to be taken. It won the Future Division Award at the "Japan Game Awards 2025." Content for the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PS5 versions will be added in subsequent updates, and wallpapers for other platforms will be announced separately once ready.
