AmiAmi has now opened pre-orders for the re-release of Kotobukiya's "HORROR Bishoujo Sadako" figure. This reissue of the previous character figure is scheduled to ship in May 2027, priced at 18,810 JPY (tax included).
This product belongs to Kotobukiya's "BISHOUJO" series. In this series, Shunya Yamashita reimagines female characters from movies, games, and manga through his personal artistic lens. This re-release features Sadako, an iconic figure from Japanese horror. The figure comes with two interchangeable face parts: one where her long black hair completely covers her face, and another where her eyes peek through the strands of hair.
Sadako's white dress is made from translucent material to visually convey the effect of the fabric clinging to her skin after being soaked in well water. Her fingernails and toenails are crafted according to the character's lore of struggling in the well and losing her nails, featuring a color resembling red nail polish.
The figure depicts Sadako hovering above a stack of VHS tapes, showcasing her supernatural powers. The tape ribbon extending from the cassette case can be adjusted to your preferred pose. The product also includes two additional decorative tape ribbons and is stored in a dedicated VHS tape-shaped case, which hides another tape in a different condition.
