On October 21, Shueisha Games confirmed that Book of Hours: The Endless Epilogue will receive an Xbox Series X|S version, with plans to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5 in early summer 2027. The publisher also released an update for the demo currently available on Steam.
Book of Hours: The Endless Epilogue is an exploration-based action-adventure game developed by DeskWorks. The story revolves around a "tale after the end" that spans a thousand years. Players take on the role of an editor trapped within a manuscript, gradually unraveling the story through exploration and action gameplay.
The adjustments to this demo are based on player feedback and mainly include improvements to the player character's controls, the addition of a difficulty switching feature, and a redesigned user interface. These three changes address real-time control responsiveness, accessibility, and information presentation, making it easier for players to understand the core gameplay flow of the full release.
With the announcement of the Xbox Series X|S version, the number of planned platforms for this title has increased to three. Currently, the publisher has only revealed an early summer 2027 release window, without providing an exact date, pricing for each platform, or plans for future updates to the demo.
