ProjectAlive has revealed the Steam store page for the zombie real-time strategy game Ebbtide. Currently in development for PC, the release date has not yet been announced. Players will begin operations in zombie-overrun Los Angeles, commanding humanity's last remaining aircraft carrier battle group to rescue survivors under pressure from massive infected hordes.
Players can deploy National Guard units, LAPD officers, Marines, transport trucks, and helicopters, launching attacks with tanks, attack helicopters, fighter jet airstrikes, destroyer naval gunfire, and Tomahawk cruise missiles. The game supports seamless transitions from the operational map to combat scenes without loading screens, and frontline engagements continue even after returning to the map.
During defense, players must construct high walls and forward bases, utilizing equipment like close-in weapon systems to hold back zombie hordes. Infected can climb over each other to scale walls, meaning static defenses aren't entirely secure. Sustained combat also relies on helicopters and trucks for supply deliveries, so supply routes must be protected as well.
Personnel rescued during the Los Angeles operation won't just count toward a single mission's results; they'll become initial forces for the "Global Campaign." From there, players can pilot aircraft carriers to regions in need of support and continue executing regional defense missions. This mechanic connects real-time combat, logistics management, and cross-regional campaign progression.
