CRITICAL REFLEX, the indie game publisher known for hit titles like "Buckshot Roulette", "Mouthwashing", and "Look Away", has now fully recapped all announcements from its ID@Xbox Showcase and the second CRITICAL REFLEX TIME event. The showcase dropped several major bombs: two new titles, "Bizarre Frequencies" and "Key-Eater™", were officially revealed for the first time; the Italian cooking horror game "Delicious" surprisingly launched for free; public demos for "Pipes.exe", "Traces of the Drowning Lake", and "Unbearable Sounds" were made available; and "Arctic Fried Egg", "Mouthwashing", "Look Away", and "Buckshot Roulette" all made their way to consoles.
New Reveals
In the surreal psychological action RPG "Bizarre Frequencies", you use the brain-computer interface device "amFM" to access others' consciousness, investigating the truth behind a catastrophic hallucinogenic rainstorm that destroyed civilization. During combat, you can switch dimensions at any time—whether to escape a dangerous encounter, replenish modules mid-fight, or simply test your free will. You can also build intricate machines to creatively destroy enemies, constantly modifying them to withstand the resistance of unwilling subjects.
The surreal psychological horror game "Key-Eater™" turns "eating keyboards" into a professional therapy session. You are placed in an evaluation room with a scrambled keyboard, a gacha machine, and "It" waiting at the end of the hallway. Press the keys, crush them, earn tokens to draw new keycaps, and complete each lesson before "It" gets you. Each round reshuffles the keyboard; the more you eat, the closer you get to resolving your issues completely.
Both titles will be available on PC and Xbox Series X|S, and can be added to your Steam wishlist now.
