The shooting simulation game Precise Ballistics, developed by Tic Tac Toe Digital and published by Kwalee, launched its demo on Steam on October 9. As of this article's publication, the demo has received "Overwhelmingly Positive" user reviews.
This title breaks down firearm handling and ballistic variations into extensive detail. Bullet weight, shape, and their combination with the barrel affect muzzle velocity and trajectory, while temperature and humidity also play a role. Projectiles will noticeably drop once they fall below supersonic speeds, and fragmentation caused by impact is also simulated.
The game offers over 200 types of ammunition and more than 1,000 accessories, totaling over 1,200 combination materials. Different parts alter the weapon's balance and handling performance, and the same part can be installed multiple times to create unconventional configurations.
Pre-shooting preparations must also be completed manually by the player, including adjusting sight positions by turning screws, loading bullets, handling the safety, and chambering a round. After customizing their weapons, players can participate in shooting challenges to earn points by hitting targets; at the end of each round, points are converted into coins used for purchasing items.
The full version of Precise Ballistics is currently planned for release in 2027, with Japanese language support intended. The exact release date for the full version has not yet been announced.
