Joe Brammer, head of Bulkhead Interactive, commented on recent rumors, stating that he heard DICE and Respawn Entertainment are developing Star Wars: Battlefront 3. However, he is uncertain about what this means for the future of the Battlefield series.
There were also previous rumors that Disney was negotiating with two studios regarding the development of a third Star Wars: Battlefront game, with Bungie and DICE, the developer of the previous two entries, being named. Currently, EA, Disney, DICE, and Respawn have not officially announced Star Wars: Battlefront 3.
Respawn previously handled the Star Wars Jedi series, with its third and final installment already confirmed. The studio also has experience developing shooters like Titanfall and Apex Legends. DICE was the developer behind the first two Battlefront titles and is currently being assisted by multiple first-party studios in developing Battlefield.
These experiences only suggest that the involvement of both studios in the project is possible, but they do not prove that Star Wars: Battlefront 3 has been officially greenlit. Joe Brammer did not provide any evidence such as documents, project codenames, development stages, or release dates, so these claims remain rumors for now.
