Recently, a new trailer for Season 3 of "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" was released, with the narrative focus clearly shifting toward Sauron. Middle-earth is shrouded in smoke and fire as Sauron ascends his throne, dons the One Ring, confronts a Balrog, and amasses a considerable army of Orcs, further plunging the situation into darkness.

Galadriel also features prominently in the trailer, with her husband Celeborn making his first official appearance, portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower. Sauron is also shown addressing the Nazgûl in the footage.
Season 3 picks up where Season 2 left off, with Sauron escaping with the One Ring and the Siege of Eregion already underway. There is a five-year time jump between the new season and the previous one. Co-showrunner Patrick McKay stated that this arrangement allows the story to unfold from a fresh starting point, enabling viewers who haven't seen the first two seasons to use Season 3 as an entry point, while long-time fans can see how the characters have changed over the five years.
Bower is one of the new cast members joining this season. He mentioned that in understanding Celeborn, he drew inspiration from the theme of longing during Tolkien's separation from his wife Edith, thereby capturing the character's state of yearning for his beloved while striving to survive. "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" Season 3 will premiere on Prime Video on November 11.
