Mchose has released the R9 wireless gaming headset, priced at $69, with a pre-order discount bringing it down to $49. The new product weighs 235 grams and comes with a detachable microphone featuring AI noise cancellation.
The R9 features a floating headband made of a steel frame and faux leather padding to distribute pressure on the top of the head. The headband can be quickly adjusted via a sliding mechanism, and the earcups support 18 degrees of vertical tilt and 90-degree rotation.
For connectivity, the headset supports Bluetooth 5.4 and 2.4GHz wireless modes, and can also be used for wired listening and charging via a USB Type-C port. Its audio section uses 53mm composite drivers, with built-in storage capable of saving three custom sound profiles. The equalizer can be adjusted through the Mchose PC or mobile app.
The R9 is equipped with a detachable 360-degree microphone and offers AI noise cancellation. Mchose states that the headset's default sound profile was co-tuned with the EDG Valorant esports team, focusing on optimizing the presentation of footsteps, gunshots, and other in-game audio.
