Publisher Gambit Digital and developer Unfold Games have announced that the first-person vampire hotel simulation game Bloody Hell Hotel will launch on PC via Steam in 2027, releasing as a complete 1.0 version from day one. The team has abandoned its original plan to release an Early Access version in 2026.
Since its initial announcement in 2022, the project has expanded significantly, with player feedback prompting the team to add more features, freedom, and activities. Initially self-funded through revenue from their previous title, DARQ, subsequent funding supported team expansion and advanced development toward Early Access. However, it was insufficient to deliver the planned 2026 version with all intended features and the desired level of polish.
With additional funding from the publisher, the development team decided against financing the final stage by selling an unfinished version and postponed the release to 2027. The team stated that the 1.0 version will include all six vampire classes, 270 skills (including upgrades), a minion system, and other planned features not yet fully showcased.
Influenced by player suggestions, the game also features moon phases, gnomes, fang customization, pets, and vampire hunters. The developers have also released a new gameplay trailer, with most footage taken from actual gameplay, along with in-engine clips showcasing furniture and coffin upgrades.
