Sharpen your pickaxe; this thrilling roguelike game is set for an official release in Q3 2027.
Publisher Hooded Horse and developer ShoulderByte have announced that Drillward, a game blending roguelike, deck-building, and tower defense mechanics, will officially launch in the second half of next year! The latest trailer was revealed at the recent ID@XBOX x IGN Showcase, showcasing fully upgraded stunning visuals and unveiling the new hero faction, the "Saprotrophs," for the first time!
Trailer:
Independent developer Dennis “Denno” Strümpel has been diligently refining this strategy game deep within the mines, cleverly merging the strategic joy of deck-building with the dual thrill of exploring mineral deposits and safeguarding your loot.
Unearth endless treasures as you delve into fully destructible, all-terrain worlds scattered across the galaxy, building an impregnable mining fortress! While fending off wave after wave of fierce alien assaults, continuously modify and upgrade your drill between each run to bolster your defenses. Skillfully combine cards, artifacts, and runes to unleash powerful synergies, devise winning strategies, and amass as much wealth as possible before being consumed by the abyss!
The game features English as its source language and supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese.
Drillward will launch on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Microsoft Store in Q3 2027, available on PC Game Pass from day one.
