Maomao, the apothecary from the pleasure district, will uncover it all
The truth behind the "Fake Imperial Brother" —
■ Original Story Concept by Author: Natsu Hyuuga
Maomao, the apothecary from the pleasure district, has only just begun working as a maid in the Inner Palace—
Bizarre incidents known as the "Five Great Mysteries" occur one after another in the Inner Palace.
Faceless eunuchs, a warehouse that wails every night, clothes dyed crimson overnight
Faced with these inexplicable phenomena, unease quickly spreads throughout the Inner Palace.
At the one-sided request of Jinshi, the manager of the Inner Palace, Maomao begins investigating the "Five Great Mysteries."
Using her pharmaceutical expertise and keen observational skills, she compounds medicines, negotiates, gathers evidence, and resolves incidents one by one.
On her way back home, Maomao meets Guan Yu, an actor from a traveling troupe.
Triggered by prescribing medicine for him, Maomao gradually becomes entangled in the "troubles" he carries.
Time passes, and shortly after the Zi clan's rebellion is quelled in the royal capital,
This time, rumors of the "Fivefold Curse" began to circulate, finally escalating into an incident.
Maomao, who happened to be at the crime scene, witnessed the "Masked Imperial Brother" with her own eyes.
Although Jinshi denies any involvement, the unrest and fervor in the royal capital continue to escalate,
A mysterious group supporting the "Masked Imperial Brother" has even appeared, making the situation in the royal capital even more chaotic and unclear.
What is the true identity of the "Masked Imperial Brother"? What is the connection between the "Five Great Mysteries" and the "Fivefold Curse"?
Linked to a long-buried taboo history, a grand tale is about to unfold—
