4Gamer previewed One Piece: Sea Food Restaurant, developed by Kairosoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, prior to its release. The title launched on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on October 22, 2026, with PC, iOS, and Android versions following on October 23.
The story begins with the appearance of a fake branch of the sea restaurant "Baratie." Luffy and Sanji establish "Baratie No. 2," where players, as new staff members, restore the restaurant, collect ingredients and recipes, design set menus, and gradually expand their business. Set menus consist of a main course, side dish, drink, and dessert; pairing dishes with good compatibility yields a price bonus. Facility placement affects the restaurant's ambiance, comfort, and efficiency. Completing objectives in each sea region triggers showdowns with rival restaurants, and victory allows players to track down the fake Baratie and travel to new regions.
Preview articles particularly praised the numerous culinary details and Easter eggs sourced from the anime, as well as the distinct visual appeal of Kairosoft's pixel art style. The game features over 400 characters, including figures from the "Elbaf Arc" and early-series characters, who not only visit as customers but may also form table combinations never seen in the original work, triggering interaction events. Additional features include photo opportunities, visitor logs, concert venues, the Mirror Room, and nine types of minigames. The author believes that even those unfamiliar with One Piece will find the clear management loop and intuitive controls sufficient to sustain an enjoyable experience.
