"Please Save My Underworld!", an idle cloud-based fantasy simulation RPG that has been in operation for over 10 years, announced its shutdown on October 22, 2026. A critical security vulnerability was confirmed in the PHP version used by the servers, and continuing to provide the service posed a risk to player information.
The game has been running on significantly outdated hardware and software for an extended period. The developers stated that it was difficult to safely address security vulnerabilities while maintaining the existing systems and infrastructure; migrating the entire game to a new environment was deemed impractical due to the extensive work required, leading to the final decision to shut down operations.
While the developers have not promised a sequel or a revival of the game, they expressed their desire not to let the title end completely. They hope to find suitable opportunities in the future to allow players to return to this underworld through other formats.
