Super Flower Unveils Graphics Card Power Protection Adapter with Per-Line Monitoring and Overcurrent Alerts

Super Flower has showcased the VGA 12+4PIN OCP Dongle on its official website. This compact adapter is installed between the power cable and the graphics card's 12V-2x6 connector, allowing it to monitor the current on each 12V line individually and trigger an alarm along with "VGA Black Screen Protection" if anomalies persist.

The device will only issue an alert after detecting abnormal conditions for 10 seconds. When the current on any single line is between 9.5A and 12A, or when the current difference between the two lines exceeds 6A, the indicator light will turn orange and a buzzer will sound.

If the current exceeds 12A, the device will flash a red light and emit a continuous beep for 180 seconds, followed by a steady red light for 15 seconds before activating "VGA Black Screen Protection." Even if the current returns to normal afterward, this mode will remain active, and the manufacturer recommends shutting down the system to check the cables.

Super Flower has not yet explained the specific implementation of the black screen feature or clarified whether the device will directly cut off power supply. The product was showcased at Computex 2026 and is currently priced at 1,190 NTD (approximately $38 USD) in Taiwan. However, it is temporarily available only as part of a limited promotional bundle with Leadex VIII power supplies, with no announced plans for standalone sales or expansion to other regions.
