SNK has announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of "Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves" will officially launch on October 22, with a release trailer released simultaneously. This version supports Handheld, Tabletop, and TV modes, and offers two control options: Simplified Controls and Traditional Technical Controls.
Simplified Controls allow players to execute special moves and combos with a single button, while Traditional Controls cater to players familiar with the series and fighting games. The game features the "REV" battle system, includes a single-player RPG mode called "EOST," and supports cross-platform play with rollback netcode.
The digital version for Nintendo Switch 2 is now available on the Nintendo eShop. The Standard Edition, which includes only the base game, is priced at HK$139 or NT$556; the Entry Edition includes the base game plus additional content such as the Season Passes for Seasons 1 to 3, priced at HK$209 or NT$832.
Currently, only the Entry Edition has been announced for the physical release, scheduled for January 21, 2027, with pre-orders opening gradually. The diverse play styles emphasized for the Switch 2 version mainly stem from the console's portability and multi-mode usage; no additional exclusive characters or storylines have been announced at this time.
