Lei Jun mentioned that, to date, Xiaomi has built the world's largest consumer IoT platform. By the end of the second quarter, the number of connected IoT devices globally exceeded 1.1 billion.

To enhance the overall ecosystem experience,Over the past few years, Xiaomi has continuously increased its R&D investment in core underlying technologies such as chips, operating systems, and AI embodied intelligence.

Over the past five years, Xiaomi has invested 105.5 billion yuan in R&D for core hard technology, with related investments expected to exceed 200 billion yuan over the next five years.

Previous investments totaling hundreds of billions are gradually yielding visible results. In the chip sector, Xiaomi's self-developed Xuanjie series chips have seen the Xuanjie O1 surpass 1 million shipments, while the Xuanjie O3 has officially entered commercial use. Development of AI acceleration chips and intelligent driving chips is also underway.

The operating system is the well-known HyperOS, which integrates the underlying systems of smartphones, cars, and home appliances. The new HyperOS 4, paired with Super Xiao Ai 2.0, offers stronger cross-device connectivity capabilities.

In the AI sector, Xiaomi's MiMo large model already covers a complete model matrix including language, multimodal, and voice capabilities, with on-device AI features integrated directly into various terminals.

In the field of embodied intelligence, Xiaomi's humanoid robots have already been deployed in factories for testing, working in tandem with Xiaomi's automotive business. The automotive business has also achieved significant scale; two and a half years after its launch, Xiaomi Auto has delivered over 800,000 units cumulatively, with an average price exceeding 260,000 yuan.

Following this announcement of increased investment, the scale of funding for the next five years has nearly doubled, with capital still concentrated on core underlying technologies.

Continued R&D investment means that Xiaomi will bring more impressive products to fields such as smartphones, automobiles, smart home devices, and robotics in the future.
